PLANT
Hulde aan de PLANT! Ons groen, ons voedsel, onze natuur, onze lucht, onze toekomst.
Met die gedachte in het achterhoofd zijn de leden van ARS uitgenodigd om zich te laten inspireren door planten. Aan de kunstenaars is bovendien gevraagd om een andere kunstenaar uit te nodigen en een gezamenlijk werk te maken. Het verrassende resultaat van dit creatieve proces is deze zomer te zien in de tentoonstelling PLANT bij Ars Aemula.
Binnenplaats
De monumentale gevel en de binnenplaats van ARS worden speciaal voor deze tentoonstelling aangepast. Er verrijst een plantenkasje (met dank aan Tuincentrum Welkoop in Rijnsburg), er komen groeiende plantjes, objecten aan de muur. Een mooie plek om even tot rust te komen.
Workshops
Daarnaast organiseert ARS gedurende de zomer diverse creatieve workshops met het thema planten voor volwassenen en kinderen. Hoe ziet boomschors er nu echt uit als je die wilt tekenen? Welke kleuren leveren planten ons?
Het programma van de workshops is nog in voorbereiding. Let op aankondigingen in de huis-aan-huisbladen, bij de VVV, in diverse winkels en vooral op deze website.
De workshops zijn mede mogelijk gemaakt door een subsidie van de gemeente Leiden.

Tribute to the PLANT! Our greenery, our food, our nature, our air, our future.
With that in mind, the members of ARS were invited to be inspired by plants. The artists were also asked to invite another artist and create a joint work. The surprising result of this creative process can be seen this summer in the PLANT exhibition at Ars Aemula
Courtyard
The monumental facade and courtyard of ARS have been specially adapted for this exhibition. A greenhouse arises, with thanks to Tuincentrum Welkoop in Rijnsburg, there will be growing plants, objects on the wall. A nice place to relax for a while.
Workshops
In addition, ARS organizes various creative workshops on the theme of plants for adults and children during the summer. What does tree bark really look like when you want to draw it? What colors do plants give us?
The workshop program is still being prepared. Pay attention to announcements in the free local papers, at the tourist office, in various shops and especially on this website.
